Rob Chapman: Natural Resource Stewardship

Rob Chapman, Extension Wildlife Specialist at Purdue University, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, will speak on Monday, January 5th, at the monthly meeting of the Big Oaks Conservation Society. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Madison – Jefferson County Public Library in Madison, IN. Rob will discuss: Southeast Purdue Agriculture Center: Research and Extension Leads to Better Natural Resource Stewardship. Rob received a B.S in Wildlife Science from Purdue University in 1996 and a M.S. in Rangeland Ecology from Oklahoma State University in 2000. Rob’s research and extension programs include the ecology and management of oak ecosystems and associated wildlife, ecology and management of early successional wildlife communities in mixed agricultural/woodland landscapes, response of plant communities and wildlife populations to wildland fire, and integration of natural resource education into primary and secondary education.
