Batesville’s 10th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration

Celebrate the start of the holiday season on Friday, December 6 at 5:00 pm in downtown Batesville! Featuring an illuminated parade, community tree lighting, Santa and his reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, Elfie Selfies, food vendors and craft making activities, local school choral groups and much more!
Join Mayor Mike Bettice for the official tree lighting immediately following the Chamber’s Toyland Parade which begins at 6 p.m at the Batesville Middle School and winds its’ way to downtown’s Santa’s Village. Sip on hot cocoa, roast marshmallows, munch on kettle corn, enjoy dinner, make a craft in Santa’s Workshop! Take a carriage ride, visit Santa’s baby reindeer or strike the perfect “Elfie selfie”. Jolly old St. Nick is expected to visit his Batesville home! Be sure to stop by and hand him your list!
Grab some homemade cookies from the Batesville Area Historical Society, 15 W. George Street and view their featured “Toy Train” exhibit. At 7:15 p.m., The Gibson Theatre will have a free showing (courtesy of Batesville Kiwanians) of Frozen 2.
