Umbrella Sky Project

The Umbrella Sky Project started in 2011 and since then, these pop-up shade structures have become an annual summertime installation and they have developed a cult following around the world.   This art installation is made from hundreds of umbrellas that appear to be floating magically in mid-air, bringing a shower of color creating a beautiful scene.

Batesville Area Arts Council is bringing the same famous Umbrella Sky Project  in a different palette of colors and patterns back for 2022. Not only is the installation lovely to see in our downtown district, but it also offers much appreciated shade for our Farmers’ Market and provides an attractive venue for downtown events. Umbrella Sky Batesville will last from July through September, located on the Village Green parking lot west side –  121 Shopping Village Batesville, IN 47006
